EID AL FITR 2023 – WHEN IS EID UL FITR 2023 ?
Eid al Fitr 2023 is most likely to be celebrated in Pakistan on Friday, 21st of April 2023, or on Saturday, 22nd of April 2023. However, the firm date is subject to the moon sighting of Shawwal, 1444, the 10th month of the Islamic Calendar.
Fasting on Eid days i-e Eid ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha is forbidden as the same is evident from the this Hadith: “No fasting is permissible on the two days of Eid-ul-Fitr and EId-ul-Adha.”

WHAT IS EID AL FITR?
Eid ul Fitr, which is known as ’عيد الفطر’ in Arabic and in some Asian countries, is a religious festival for all Muslims around the globe. Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr at the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Eid al Fitr is Allah’s reward for those who fasted during the holy month of Ramadan. This is also an opportunity of the believers to thank Allah for giving them the chance and the strength to complete His commands throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Usually, Eid al Fitr is celebrated for 3 days in almost all the Muslim countries and the countries where Muslims observe fasting.
